Ιn the airport functions the Alexandroupolis Aero club which is activated in the
distribution of Aero athleticism as well as the learning of handling of volatile
means (plane).
The summer months it executes flights of fire safety.

The Aeroclub bought a Cessna F172N from the Stapleford Flying Club
on 2003. His shipping register is SX_AXD
He is certified as TRANSPORT CATEGORY (PASSENGER) and
it has faculty for IFR flights.
He is equipped with two NAV/COM (VOR, ILS) ADF, DME, ATC TRANSPONDER and GPS.
