Kastoria Airport

The Kastoria Airport "Aristotelis" operates from March 1971, in distance 12Km from the capital of prefecture, the city of Kastoria. Its operation began with flights of Olympic Aviation with planes Ys-11, and itineraries of interior ATHENS - KASTORIA with small frequency (3-4 per week). Initially the installations of land service and the runway were enough for the itineraries of interior. At the end of decade the 80 it began operates the new terminal of surface 1000tm. In September 2002 was inaugurated the new runway of dimensions 2820m x 45m.
